Maestas & Ward Announces John M. Henderson III
as Chief Operating Officer | New Advisory Team Broadens Expertise

Albuquerque, N.M. – Maestas & Ward Commercial Real Estate announced Mr. John M. Henderson III has joined the commercial real estate leader as Chief Operating Officer and Qualifying Broker. New Mexico’s premier commercial real estate firm also announces additional new advisors will be joining Maestas & Ward as well.

Mr. Henderson, who comes to Maestas & Ward from Grubb & Ellis New Mexico where he was a senior vice president, has thirty-seven years of successful and proven leadership in the commercial real estate market, has won multiple awards for his dedication to the industry including recognition as Realtor of the Year and Sales Manager of the Year from the Albuquerque Board of Realtors.
“John is the right man at the right time to lead Maestas & Ward where it wants and needs to go in the future,” said Mr. Steve Maestas, Managing Partner of Maestas & Ward, who has been leading the firm through healthy and planned growth despite the recession.

Mr. Maestas says the addition of Mr. John M. Henderson as the Chief Operating Officer is part of a strategic planning process which Maestas & Ward commenced several years ago. That team is already being assembled. Along with Mr. Henderson, Maestas & Ward also welcomes the addition of others in the real estate industry: Ms. Trudy Jones and Ms. Rosie Yee.

Ms. Jones, who also comes from Grubb & Ellis New Mexico where she was a senior vice president, has twenty-eight years of real estate experience. In her new role, Ms. Jones will focus on office leasing as a Director.

Ms. Rosie Yee, who also joins the Maestas & Ward team from Grubb & Ellis New Mexico, is a dedicated licensed sales assistant who has provided support services on multiple commercial real estate transactions. She will continue provide support to the Maestas & Ward team as an executive assistant.

Mr. Henderson said that in his new role, he wants to hire and train the very best. “When you demonstrate competence and proficiency, you continue to attract talented and experienced people,” he said. “We don’t have to be the biggest, just the preferred.”
