Karen L. Hudson, CCIM, SIOR has nearly 30 years experience in commercial real estate in New Mexico and the Southwest. An Albuquerque native, Karen joined Maestas & Ward as a partner in October 2003. She previously served as vice president of Grubb and Ellis, where she was a top advisor for nearly a decade. Karen is an expert in office leasing, brokerage and development.
Hudson ’s professional credentials include CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). She is one of only 2,500 worldwide who hold the prestigious SIOR designation, a professional symbol of the highest level of knowledge, production, and ethics in the real estate industry.
Previously serving two terms as president of the New Mexico chapter of SIOR, Karen also is a member of the Leasing Information Network, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and National Association of Realtors. She also serves as the 2008 chair-elect for the Albuquerque Economic Development board. She is the recipient of many top awards and honors, including the 2007 CARNM Realtor of the Year, NAIOP Real Estate Professional of the Year and Leasing Broker of the Year.

Karen holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico. In her spare time Karen enjoys the company of her husband Tommy and her dogs Kenai and Nick. She also enjoys running, biking, hiking, fishing and golfing.
