Jim Hakeem, an Albuquerque resident for the past 34 years, joined Maestas & Ward in early 2003. He specializes in land sales, investment properties and brings hands-on experience in the development and acquisition sector of real estate transactions.

Jim has been active in the Albuquerque commercial real estate market since 1996. Prior to becoming a commercial realtor, Jim was in the food industry, selling his successful business of 20 years to open his own real estate investment Partnership, Commonwealth Properties. There, his focus was on sales/ownership and development of investment properties including land and apartments.

Jim is a New Mexico State University graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned a Management Certification from the University of Notre Dame.

Jim's endless energy is also evident in his personal life. Jim and his wife Jackie are actively involved with their three children's high school sports and outdoor activities. Jim enjoys golfing, water skiing and working out in his spare time.
