An Albuquerque resident for the past 38 years, Jim joined Maestas & Ward in early 2003. He specializes in multi-family, land sales, and investment properties and brings hands-on experience in the development and acquisition sector of real estate transactions. Jim is a New Mexico State University graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned a Management Certification from the University of Notre Dame.

Jim has been active in the Albuquerque commercial real estate market since 1996, when he left the Food Industry, selling his successful business of 20 years, to open his own real estate investment Partnership, Commonwealth Properties, LLC. There, his focus was on sales/ownership and development of investment properties including land and multifamily.

Through Jim’s real estate knowledge and dedication to his clients, he has accomplished several awards at Maestas & Ward to include:

• Outstanding Performance of the Year - 2005
• In addition, Jim has been awarded the monthly Top Advisor several times and completed the largest transaction of the company for 2007.
